Official qualification entitling you to your boat and/or PWC licence Trainer-led boating safety course Official NSW licence testing Bonus ‘intro to boating’ guides Free access to our popular boating safety material Full information will be emailed upon purchase. This will include the free guides and bonus material in addition to the course details. Arrival Time: Arrive at least 15 minutes before start time Course Length: Allow roughly 4 hours. Age & ID Requirements: Must have acceptable ID per the POI requirements. Must be aged 12 & up to obtain qualification. Parking: Free parking in car park at the venue (enter via Cliffe St) Food & drink: Food and non-alcoholic drinks are allowed throughout the course. A break is allocated within the course. Course details
The NSW boat & PWC licences
The NSW general boat licence permits people aged 12 years and over to operate a boat for recreational purposes on NSW waters, at a speed of 10 knots (18.5 Kilometres per hour) or more.
The PWC licence allows you to operate a Personal Watercraft at any speed. It is an upgrade on the NSW boat licence and can be completed at the same course.
Neither licence can be used for the operation of a commercial vessel or for commercial purposes.
Who delivers the course?
Training is delivered by Boating Licence Course’s own qualified, experienced and vetted training team.
Sailingworld pty ltd t/a Boating Licence Course (ACN # 092 478 718 | RTO # 91229) is approved by NSW Maritime to provide practical boat training and/or knowledge testing for the NSW general boat driving licence and PWC driving licence.
