Course Length
The licence exam is conducted upon completion of the course tuition.
We advise allowing roughly 4 to 5 hours for everything.
Minimum Age
Students must be at least 12 years old to attend this course and obtain a licence.
Kids (<16) will also need mum or dad to sign them in.
Identification
For adults (16+), a NSW drivers licence. For kids (<16), a birth certificate.

Food and Drink
Food and non-alcoholic drinks are allowed throughout the course.
There is a break roughly midway through the course.
Getting Your Licence
You’ll start with a fun session led by our accredited trainers, who’ll guide you through all the key boating safety points for both boat and jetski licences. We’ll pause for a short break midway so you can stretch your legs and grab a drink.
Once you’ve passed the exam, you’ll receive a signed and stamped qualification from your trainer. Simply take this to Service NSW once you’ve completed your logbook and they’ll issue your licence on the spot.
Congratulations, you’re competent, confident and ready to hit the water straight away!

Training is delivered by Boating Licence Course’s own qualified, experienced and vetted training team.
Sailingworld pty ltd t/a Boating Licence Course (ACN # 092 478 718 | RTO # 91229) is approved by NSW Maritime to provide practical boat training and/or knowledge testing for the NSW general boat driving licence and PWC driving licence.

I would arrive 20 minutes early to hand in ID, but the course itself was run really smoothly and the trainer on the night I went taught me so many aspecs I had never thought of
